Lady Warriors Juvenile Girls Champions at Glouchester Tournament in Ottawa February 10th weekend!!!

Congradulations to the Juvenile Girls basketball team for winning the Glouchester Tournament in Ottawa this past weekend! Coach Gavin & lady Warrios went to Ottawa the weekend of February 10th 2012.

The lady Warriors won their first game against Napean Blue Devils after a long drive on Friday . Then lost their early morning game against the Ottawa Shooting stars, then won the next 2 games against Stoney Creek and Goldbourne. The ladys Warriors made it to the Championship game against the shooting stars…winning the Finals by 8 points. Trisha Thomas won the Hustle award/MVP for the Junior Girl Brampton Warriors. The girls head to London on the weekend of February 24, and are hosting on the weekend of the March 31st. The Warriors also finished 4th in the Dundas Earlybird tournament . Team was lead by great hustle from their captains Deneece Plummer and Anesia Stephenson. Great balance of shooting and defense from Tamanna Sabharwal. Unfortunaley Warrior Samanatha Mikulik went down with an injury to her ankle while still playing a key role in final game.

Congratulations goes out to the William G Davis Bulldogs for winning the Brampton Centennial Elementary tournament this past weekend in Brampton. The Bulldogs have several BMBA rep & house league players on their team and the BMBA want to congradulate them with their tournament Championship.

Justin was a All tournament ALL STAR & Bobby was the tournament MVP!

CKATT Major Bantom win BMBA Major Bantom boys tournament!

Congradulations to the CKATT Major Bantom Boys team for winning the BMBA Major Bantom tournament this past weekend in Brampton. The CKATT team went undefeated and beat the Scarborough Blus in the final 51-50.

Bramton would like to with #13 Justin from Oakville Vytis a speady recovery from his injury on the weekend!

Major Bantom Boys win Mississauga Monarchs Tournament

This past weekend the Major Bantom Boys #1 team played in the Mississauga Monarchs tournament in Brampton. The MBB playing in their 1st tournament of the year played strong throughout the weekend and were able to beat the Oakville Venom 71-41 in the gold medal game. Charlie Bennett lead Brampton with 13 points & Jordon Fullerton scored 12 points in the gold medal game. The coaches were pleased with the teams effort on defense throughout the weekend lead by Antonio Hanson, Julian Mitchell & Malik Sam & steady play from Jaskaran Samra, Devante Ashman & Bobby Dhaliwal.

The Championship was bitter sweet as team leader Marcel Kennedy was injured. We wish Marcel a safe and speedy recovery.

Vaughan Panthers win BMBA Novice Boys tournament

This past weekend the BMBA held our Novice Boys tournament in Brampton at Cassie Campbell and JAD. With a strong showing of teams from accross the GTA this tournament was well represented.

The BMBA would like to congradulate Hali Burns for her OBA ROOKIE COACH OF THE YEAR award she recieved this past November at the Ontario Basketball Awards Gala. Hali joined the BMBA in 2010 & is currently coaching the Major Banton Girls team. Hali & her coaching staff is to be commended on their time and committment to their players development.

The BMBA would like to thank all the partisipants of our 2nd annual 12/49 fundraising event. This year with great success the BMBA raised $7,880.00 & we had 2 winners. The winners each received a check for $1970.00.

Northern Kings win BMBA Major Atom Boys Tournament 2011!!!

Congradulations to the Northern Kings Major Atom boys basketball team for winning the BMBA tournament this past week. In a well played final the Kings beat the a good CIA Bounce team 45-38 in a very entertaining game. The Kings were lead by Isiah Moseley with 21 points.

Tournament MVP was Northern Kings forward Isiah Moseley with his outstanding performances throughout the weekend.
